We are delighted to announce that we have been won the ‘Supply Chain’ award at the recent Made in the North West awards!
Voted for by a panel of judges, the awards are a celebration of all that is great about manufacturing; looking at the use of technology, the ambition to export and the motivation to train and invest in people to find the finest manufacturing businesses in the region.
This year, we battled a record number of entries to secure our spots in the Supply Chain category, with judges looking for evidence of growth in the North West region and how companies lead the markets in which they operate.
Our investment from US agri-investor Paine Schwartz, recent acquisitions including Fayrefield Liquids and Roil Foods, and our dedication to twice daily milk pick-ups from farms across the country were cited as key reasons for our success.
Our farm liaison teams, comprising of local experts on hand for farmers to discuss technical advice on production methods, current regulation and legislation which affects the dairy industry, were also highlighted as market-leading programmes for the dairy farming sector.
Mark Chantler, our Chief Executive of Meadow Foods, comments: “This award is not just an achievement for Meadow Foods as a business, but also for the dairy industry as a whole. To be recognised amongst leading manufacturing businesses across all sectors as a market leader highlights the vital role the dairy industry plays in the UK’s supply chain economy.”
The awards took place Thursday 10th May at the fabulous Lowry Hotel in Manchester, where our team arrived in their finest to celebrate with other regional business leaders. Following this success, we have now gone through the grand finale ‘Made in the UK’ awards, where we’ll be up against the best in the country – wish us luck!
