Our board members are responsible for setting our strategic direction and ambitious growth strategy. Collectively, they have many decades of food manufacturing experience as well as expertise in corporate investment and acquisitions expertise.
Per is a hugely experienced Chairman with more than 20 years of executive level experience in the global foods and drinks industry. His experience includes holding the position of Group CEO at United Coffee and Findus Group as well as time spent in leadership roles at Toms Group and Unigate PLC. As well as senior executive roles, Per is currenty Vice Chairman of Caffitaly and Chairman of Scandanavian businesses Løgimose Meyers and Scandic Standard. Both as an executive and board member, Per has worked extensively with private equity partners to build and grow the businesses in which he has been involved.
A graduate of the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester and a former dairy farmer, Simon understands the challenges involved in farming. Under his direction the company has achieved compound growth of more than 8% since 1995. We sell well over 100,000 tonnes of dairy ingredients per anum.
Mark is a partner at Exponent Private Equity and represents Exponent on the board of Meadow Foods. Prior to joining Exponent, Mark worked for Cinven and The Boston Consulting Group.
Mark is responsible for our overall performance, including managing, developing and executing the company’s long term strategic objectives and ambitious growth plans. With a first-class degree in economics, he joined the family business in 2011 as part of our management training programme. Having successfully delivered significant top-line growth and improvements in profitability, he was promoted to CEO of the group in 2017.
Jack is responsible for managing the ongoing business operations of all four divisions within our business. He has been with us for more than ten years and, with a background as a chartered management accountant, has worked across financial, commercial and operational roles, having previously held the position of Commercial Director of our Confectionery Division.
Maria is responsible for delivering the financial planning and reporting for our business, as well as for the company’s IT function. After graduating with a degree in economics, she qualified as an accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Maria has a wealth of established experience in the food industry and before joining Meadow Foods, spent 15 years with Brakes in several roles including Fresh Direct Group CFO and UK CFO. She joined Meadow Foods in 2020 to take on the role of Chief Financial Officer.
After graduating with a civil engineering degree, Damian moved into finance, spending a decade with PricewaterhouseCoopers as an audit accountant. He joined our accounts team in 1994 and progressed to become Chief Financial Officer. Damian remains a vital member of our key management team and board, having handed over his role to Maria Neeve in 2020.
