Move with Meadow: championing employee health and wellbeing through movement
At Meadow, we know that our people are at the heart of everything we do and we’re committed to supporting their health and wellbeing in meaningful ways. That’s why we’ve launched Move with Meadow for the second year running. A company-wide summer challenge designed to encourage physical activity, boost morale, and strengthen our sense of community across all our sites.
Running from 1st July to 31st August, this initiative invites our team members across the UK to incorporate more movement into their daily lives, whether it’s cycling, dancing, walking, or even surfing! The goal isn’t a peak performance or fitness competition. Instead, Move with Meadow is about making time for wellness, celebrating effort, and creating healthier habits in a supportive environment.
Why it matters
Workplace wellbeing has never been more important. Regular movement has been shown to improve not only physical health, but also mental clarity, emotional resilience, and overall job satisfaction. In a fast-paced work environment, it’s easy for wellness to take a back seat, so Meadow is actively creating space for it.
By encouraging our team to “move their way,” this initiative helps foster a culture where self-care and balance are seen as essential, not optional. It also supports team bonding, as colleagues take lunchtime walks together, organise friendly sporting events, or simply share their personal progress.
Fair, fun, and inclusive
The challenge is designed to be inclusive and fair. Rather than counting steps – which can vary significantly based on individual routines – participants log active minutes outside their usual day-to-day activity. This levels the playing field and ensures the focus stays on intentional movement and personal wellbeing, not on mileage.
Making wellness a shared journey
Beyond the health benefits, Move with Meadow is part of a broader effort to cultivate a positive, people-first workplace culture. It’s about creating shared experiences that build camaraderie and motivation, while recognising that even small actions can make a big difference.
Prizes and friendly competition add a fun twist, but the real reward is a healthier, more connected team – one that feels energised, supported, and empowered to thrive. Every single participant will receive a small token for taking part, and the top three ‘Meadow Movers’ will be rewarded with trophies and prizes to congratulate them on their efforts!
