Meadow Foods Group Achieves BRC AA Certification

Meadow Foods, the UK’s largest independent dairy and leading supplier of dairy-based ingredients to the food industry, is celebrating after their Holme-on-Spalding-Moor site was awarded a BRC AA accreditation, the highest possible for food manufacturers. The East Yorkshire division of Meadow Foods specialises in producing dairy ingredients for the confectionary trades such as chocolate crumb and sweetened condensed milk.

BRC (British Retail Consortium) latest Global Standards for Food Safety measure businesses across a range of benchmarks, from ensuring the safety of the raw materials which come to the factory from suppliers to excellent standards of on-site hygiene. The AA accreditation is the highest a business can be awarded, and ensures that food manufacturing and end-user customers receive the highest quality products.

As part of Meadow Foods’ ongoing internal programme for continual improvement, the Holme-on-Spalding-Moor site has worked hard to ensure that their premises were able to satisfy the highest requirements needed, building them into their processes across production, engineering, technical and managerial operations.
