We are proud to announce a strategic partnership with Herza which will see Meadow Foods and Nimbus Foods distribute Herza’s range of products to customers across the UK. Herza, based in Hamburg, Germany, is a leading producer of functional chocolate and compounds for use in food manufacturing.

Herza manufactures functional chocolate and compound ingredients for use in ice cream, muesli, bake mixes, confections and dairy products, in a wide range of recipes, shapes and variants driven by Herza’s creative and proactive approach towards trends.  Herza’s products compliment the existing range of inclusions offered by Nimbus Foods, which was acquired in 2019, allowing us both to extend their ranges and capabilities to UK customers.

Herza’s portfolio includes chocolate pieces such as chunks, shavings, leaves, micropieces, nuggets and chips as well as coated or compound versions, very often based on customised recipes and designed according to specific customer requirements  for use in a range of food sectors including bakery, dessert, confectionery and snack manufacturing. The products will continue to be manufactured in Germany but will now be distributed through Meadow Foods’ network to customers in the UK.

We will also be offering sampling of the new product range to customers from Spring 2021 and Herza products will be included in new product innovations that involve chocolate.  The addition of Herza’s ranges add to Nimbus Foods’ current specialities that include hard toffee, soft caramels and honeycomb, as well as a range of biscuit, cereal and sugar inclusions.
