Meadow Foods has announced that it will be increasing the price they pay for milk by +1.25ppl from June 2013. This will take their standard litre price to 31.25ppl. The price increase will be added to the flat rate element of Meadow’s pricing ensuring all producers receive it.
The business currently handles more than 500million litres of milk per year, sourced from more than 550 dairy farmers from across the North West, Midlands and Wales.
Simon Chantler, Executive Chairman at Meadow Foods, comments: “I am sure this increase will be welcomed by our producers who are suffering from the effects of the very late spring. This rise reflects the overall increase we have received back from the market and we are passing it back in full to our producers in our normal no nonsense way.”
Simon continues, “We are making sure that our customers are fully aware of the tight milk supply situation and will continue to push for further increases.”
